We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and the staff acted like they had all night and didn't try to rush us.The restaurant was very busy, but we were taken care of in a timely manner.I had the fish and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were crisp, the fish was crispy outside and tender inside, and the salad bar was fresh.

Food was really good, the service was great! The ladies working were so fun & kind to my son. We even got free ice cream cones after lunch! If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll be back.

Nestled in a small town square sits Dude Ranch Cafe. It is a snug environment but very cozy and endeavoring. The staff is very helpful and considerate. There is a small salad bar in the middle of the restaurant that has a moderate amount of options to build your salad. I ordered the chicken fried chicken plate, and it was wonderful. At the end of the meal, I received a mini ice cream cone; the Irish cream. It was a nice way to end a delicious meal. The only negative part of the visit was that it was a bit warm inside and in the entranceway it had a dirty smell. Otherwise, this is a great place to stop for a filling meal.

Excellent food and service. Great portions for the price. Might be wise to save room for the dessert. We were sad we didn't get any, it looked amazing, and the complimentary ice cream cones were my favorite part! Can only imagine what the milkshakes taste like. We will be planning trips around stopping here in the future. We liked the servers, and LOVED my BBQ pork sandwich, husband liked the chicken fried chicken, and kids were happy with their food too.

Pies, pies, pies! After 9 hours on the road Dude Ranch Cafe was a welcome relief. Walked in 40 minutes before closing but they welcomed us right in. Everyone was friendly.We had the turkey sandwich with chicken noodle soup and the halibut fish & chips with the salad bar. My favorite however had to be the homemade pies. Wow! Had a slice of razzleberry pie at the restaurant and I loved it so much that I took a slice of boysenberry to go.Walked in tired and hungry, walked out refreshed and completely satisfied. Plus those pies are super yummy. Dude Ranch Cafe really hit the spot!

Delicious, home coming! I had the chicken fried chicken and my husband had the open faced turkey sandwich. Both were delicious.

Wowzer! Show up hungry. The Titanic portions served at the Dude Ranch Cafe easily satisfy a Paul Bunyan sized appetite. The food and service are excellent. Also, try the Maliboo chicken sandwich (pictured below); it’s delish.

Best bacon I've ever had. And a generous portion, 5 big pieces! The cook must have a very special bacon supplier. Plus the way it's cooked it ends up curly with just enough crunch. Need I say more? (Excellent friendly service. Not strong trucker coffee, but it was tasty. Terrific, fluffy scrambled eggs.) Highly recommend. We were on a long road trip from WA to AZ and it really hit the spot. Malad is a really cute little town.
